Teeny Lieberson aka lou tides is a producer, performer, composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her newest project, Lou Tides, is an experimental synth project, making songs that are moody, jagged and raw. Formerly of bands TEEN and Here We Go Magic, her work has been described as “music that balances darkness with buoyancy and immediacy”. Her work has been featured in The New york Times, NPR, Pitchfork, and she has toured extensively as a solo artist, as well as a member of Sharon Van Etten and The Attachment Theory, who released their debut record to critical acclaim this year. She is also a touring member of legendary band Sleater Kinney.
As a composer, she has scored short films from comedians River L. Ramirez and Amy Zimmer, the heartbreaking dance film, 3x13 from Yaa Samar! Dance Theater, an official selection of the Toronto Palestine Film Festival, and most recently, Thanks to the Hard Work of the Elephants, a feature film directed by Bryce Hodgson, which premiered at the Vancouver International Film Festival.
As Lou Tides, she released her debut EP and visual mixtape, Infinite Loop, in January 2023.Her newest LP, Autostatic!, co-produced by Bartees Strange, was released on May 23, 2025 on Switch Hit Records.
